James Shafer

James Shafer's practice focuses in the areas of corporate and securities laws. He has represented established and emerging public and private companies, as well as underwriters, on a variety of matters, including registered offerings of equity and debt securities, private placements, public and private mergers and acquisitions, and general business matters.

Prior to joining The Crone Law Group, Mr. Shafer worked at Sidley Austin LLP in San Francisco, California and Rosenman & Colin LLP in New York City.

Mr. Shafer received his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1991 and J.D. from Berkeley Law (Boalt Hall) in 1996.

Mr. Shafer is fluent in German and is admitted to practice law in California and New York.
